I’ve said before and I’m saying it again – wedding trends don’t matter. The only thing that’s important on YOUR wedding day is that is feels like you. Seriously, don’t let someone on TikTok make you feel bad for not having a specialty cocktail named after your dog’s moon sign. Unless, that sounds like a fun idea that would really infuse your personality into the day, then by all means, aries-tini it up! Honestly, kind of bummed I didn’t think about that earlier. But all that being said, one thing I’m seeing more of is the use of color in decor and florals. And I freaking love it. Not because it’s right for everyone, but for so long it seemed like the only way people felt like they could style a classic and timeless wedding pallet was with neutrals and all white flowers – which is still a look – but it’s not the only one. And Anjelica and Rodrigo’s colorful winery wedding is the perfect example of a bright and cheerful wedding reflecting the couple it’s meant to celebrate.
Angelica and Rodrigo each emit warmth, radiance, and joy, which is compounded when they’re together. From a secret handshake before getting ready, helping each other get dressed, to hopping in a bathtub together in their dress and tux, Anjelica and Rodrigo were truly focused on each other and enjoying their day.
There’s a delicate balancing act when it comes to living in the moment on your wedding day and still capturing beautiful editorial portraits. It’s funny because a lot of clients come to me initially because my photos feel-in-the-moment. But there’s actually quite a bit of direction, prompts, and posing that goes into it. That’s why getting to know my couples is so important. I can help them look and feel their best in photos in a way that does feel natural without interrupting those once-in-a-lifetime moments on their wedding day. So you get photos you love and you get to soak up all the special moments on your wedding day.
When I look at the photos from Anjelica and Rodrigo’s colorful winery wedding, I can truly feel their joy.
